KCPD East Patrol and Crime Lab

KCPD East Patrol and Crime Lab - Kansas City, MO

SUMMARY: This project included a 45,000 square foot patrol building and 81,000 square foot crime lab and evidence storage building for the Kansas City Police Department. Foley Company was responsible for the HVAC systems at the east patrol building; which included the central utility plant that services all buildings on the campus and included over 8,000 feet of hydronic heating and chilled water piping. Foley Company was responsible for the Plumbing and Laboratory Gas systems at the crime lab and evidence storage building; which included over 26,000 feet of piping for the various plumbing and lab systems.

Burns & McDonnell Office Expansion

SUMMARY: Foley Company, directly subcontracted by Burns & McDonnell, completed the plumbing scope of work for the new 300,000 SF 4-story office building expansion at the Burns & McDonnell world headquarters in Kansas City.  Foley’s scope of work included the aboveground domestic water piping, sanitary waste/vent and sewer piping, plumbing fixtures, storm drainage systems and natural gas piping.  Foley Company installed over 25,000 feet of pipe and over 130 plumbing fixtures on this project.

TUKH Cambridge North Tower – KU Medical

The University of Kansas Hospital North Cambridge Tower - Kansas City, KS

SUMMARY: Foley Company has recently started working with JE Dunn on construction of a new 322,000 square foot 9-story hospital for the University of Kansas Hospital. Our work includes the HVAC, Plumbing and Medical Gas scopes of work; which includes air handling units, ventilation equipment, pumps, chillers, cooling tower rebuilding and over 190,000 feet of piping ranging in size from ½” diameter up to 24” in diameter. Foley is utilizing our in-house CAD and Project Controls capabilities for this project along with our fabrication capabilities for the HVAC, Plumbing and Med Gas systems.

Kauffman Stadium Renovations and Improvements

SUMMARY: Renovation and addition to the existing Royals MLB stadium. The renovation included 1,000,000 square foot of space on five levels of the stadium and the additions included food and merchandise stands.

University of Kansas Hospital Center for Advanced Heart Care Expansion

University of Kansas Hospital Center for Advanced Heart Care Expansion - Kansas City, KS

SUMMARY: A three-floor vertical expansion to a campus building and included plumbing, medical gas and HVAC system installations. The project utilized BIM to coordinate the existing facility with the new expansion and to maximize productivity with the fast-paced schedule. Coordination in the field was critical as it related to existing service shut downs and tie ins, as well as working in and near existing hospital facilities.

Middle Tennessee State University Science

Middle Tennessee State University Science - Murfeesboro, TN

SUMMARY: A new 250,000 square foot building for teaching, faculty and student research laboratories and collaborative learning spaces, to which at least 80 percent of all MTSU students will take at least one class in.

Sprint Center

Sprint Center - Kansas City, MO

SUMMARY: Construction of a new area in downtown Kansas City, which included over 150,000 of pipe, 22 air handling equipment units, 2,500 plumbing fixtures, and extensive central mechanical rooms. This was a fast-track project that we started during the design-development stages and worked closely with the owner throughout to help keep the project within budget.

Music City Convention Center

Music City Center - Nashville, TN

SUMMARY: Construction of a new 1.2 million square foot building on a 16 acre site just south of Broadway in downtown Nashville. This building features a 350,000 square foot exhibit hall, a 57,000 square foot grand ballroom, an 18,000 square foot junior ballroom and 1,800 parking spaces. Additional features include 90,000 square feet of meeting space with approximately 60 meeting rooms as well as 32 loading docks that provide ultimate flexibility and ease of loading in and out for the convention center. This project is on track to be certified as a LEED Silver building.

KC Star

KC Star - Kansas City, MO

SUMMARY: Construction of the newspapers new printing production facility in downtown Kansas City. This project included plumbing and HVAC systems with a central utility plant and 42 air handling units for both office and production areas as well as process piping systems and equipment for production.
